A Seminar in the Mountains
Giving your team a break dedicated to team building, in an authentic village where activities and relaxation reign supreme – that is the experience promised by a seminar in the mountains. A team from Société Générale, who came to Megève last January, tell us about their stay.
Just One Word: Enchanting!
When Yoann Couve de Murville, Sales Director at Société Générale, decided to organise a seminar for his teams of managers and advisers, Megève was the obvious choice. "I came to the Mont-Blanc as a small child with my parents, so when I wanted to hold a seminar, I immediately thought of this hotel. I wanted them to discover Megève, an authentic village with a wide range of activities." Many of his colleagues had never been to Megève, and some had never even been on a winter sports holiday! One can only imagine the pleasure they had discovering the area, especially as the weather was very generous to the group: "We had magnificent conditions: it snowed for several days before we arrived, and the sun shone throughout our stay! It was magical."
Activities and Discovering Megève
After a two-hour walk during which the group discovered the soul of the little village, its shopping streets and church square under a big blue sky, everyone took part in sporting activities. "The advantage of a place like Megève is that it satisfies ski enthusiasts and everyone else alike. There's something for every taste," continues Yoann Couve de Murville. The whole team was able to try dog sledding, "a very popular activity", a snowshoe hike "through a landscape that still seems untouched", and of course alpine skiing. "We were split into several groups according to ability and, accompanied by an instructor, we explored Megève's superb ski area in magical conditions!"
Mountain Gastronomy
After a good day of activities, nothing is more comforting than a good dinner. To please all the participants, the team took their seats at the restaurant of Megève's legendary hotel. "Everyone loved the atmosphere at Les Enfants Terribles," recalls the Sales Director. "It was both festive and intimate, and we all have very fond memories of it. It was a wonderful shared moment!" That goes for the rotisserie as well as the oyster bar! As for meetings (because yes, you still have to do a bit of work between activities!), the Sibuet-style hospitality also works wonders. The meeting room, which can accommodate more than fifteen people, is conducive to concentration and teamwork. Projector, wifi, notepad and pen, all with a lovely view of the hotel's inner courtyard, snow-covered in winter! Between meetings, the group could count on a wide choice of viennoiseries, pastries and fruit juices to satisfy any pangs of hunger.
Charmed by the Hôtel Mont-Blanc
The hotel's rooms and suites, with their "haute couture" atmosphere, won over the whole seminar team, who all praised "services worthy of very high-end hospitality, yet also very intimate", explains Yoann Couve de Murville. The Pure Altitude spa was also a success, offering everyone a lovely moment of relaxation. All these little touches make up the elegance and authenticity of Megève in general, and of the Hôtel Mont-Blanc in particular. "The aim of this seminar was to build cohesion between us. And after these four days, team spirit had grown beyond my expectations! We'd happily do it again in Megève!"
